a winter’s night, a journey through. this came to me first as a sketch in my sketchbook, and i immediately knew that i wanted to give it more life, so i brought it into procreate and let the spirit take over.

the line “do not let the fear of responsibility keep you from the joy of belonging” came to me as i was working on it, which is in relation to feeling like “i dont belong here”. i’ve felt like an alien to this world for so much of my life, and felt such a resistance to being here, but as i’ve grown i’ve come to realize that there’s an immense responsibility to being here, and i no longer wanted to run from it. this is our home, and if we are here, we belong (despite the responsibility of showing up that comes with it).
