while i painted this i listened to the audiobook called The Surrender Experiment by Michael A Singer, and laughed when I realized that I had unintentionally painted a figure meditating in nature (a huge theme of the book).

again and again I surrender to life, again and again i realize that it feels better to adapt rather than control. my lifetime is simply a moment of constant renewal, just like everything else. both nature and my art continue to teach me this.
