this illustration came about from a day where i sketched my way through my feelings.
i had been feeling so much, mostly resistance and sadness, but also hope—especially when it came to my art.
this page of feelings in my sketchbook then took on new life in procreate, and this is what came out of it.

to me this piece feels like honoring the grief, all of its stages and faces, while still believing that something is looking out for me. believing that there’s something on the other side of pain and discomfort. that time is long, and we move through it, that we keep learning, growing, and finding new things to say.
