the words on this painting are from an excerpt from my morning pages, some thoughts that couldn’t help but escape my brain as i began my day. i remember writing them, looking out at the river that i’ll soon say goodbye to, noticing the beauty of everything, realizing again and again that’s the whole point.

this painting came to life one afternoon as i tried a new underpainting, i finished it that day and in that way it became a time capsule of such a specific feeling. that day stays preserved in it’s acrylic brush strokes. i’m grateful for my time with it, i hope that it fills you with hope and the reminder to look around and truly love what you see.
