i can vividly remember looking at photos of space, and specifically nebulas, and trying to understand how vast and how beautiful it was. i would look at the colors and shapes and i would remind myself that stars are born in this place.
when i look at this painting it feels like that, but more ancient, more holy. not where stars are born, but angels.
